Harvest Fest Fashion Show

Well I made it to the Harvest Fest Fashion show despite having to attend two weddings that same day. And it was well worth the hustle that it took to get there. Of course I couldn’t miss Little Rock’s own Project Runway star Korto Momolu. But, I was also blown away by the rest of the designers, three of which showed for the first time at Harvest Fest. Not to mention 12 year old Augusta Fitzgerald, who sews and designs all of her own pieces!

I do however, have to apologize for the quality of some of the pictures. It wasn’t easy trying to get pictures of the models while sitting behind two women with quite large hair and not to mention the camera tripod that shows up later. Regardless, I had a fabulous time and can’t wait for next year!

Katheryn Richardson –
Katheryn’s first collection for Box Turtle featured adorable separates in creme, bronze, and black. Details included girly ruffles and over sized collared jackets. I was amazed by the finishing piece which was a gorgeous long black pin-striped dress.

Jamie Jennings -
Jamie also used a fall inspired palette of rich browns and cremes with pops of dark purple and a gorgeous floral print that she paints on the fabric herself. The highlight for me was the off the shoulder top and floral mini skirt topped off with the necklace that Jamie also designed.

Morgan Peterson -
The last of the first time designers, Morgan's collection featured flirty little dresses, mini skirts and mostly neutral colored tights. Bright pops of red, yellow, and orange with a few hints of metallic were a nice surprise for fall. Morgan made all of the hats, clutches, and some of the shoes her models wore. The hats were gorgeous!

Augusta Fitzgerald -
Did I mention already that she is 12! Absolutely adorable and perfectly age appropriate. Augusta used mainly black, but upped the fun factor with bright patches of color. Floppy hats, leggings, and striped socks finished off the looks.

Missy Lipps -
Missy's vintage inspired collection was fabulously decadent with strings of pearls, sashes, ruffles, and lace. These dresses were the perfect mix of sexy and sophisticated...perfect for the lady who lunches...and maybe enjoys a cocktail or two.
