MCQ

Alexander Mcqueen for Target? Can this be true?

His collection is scheduled to debut this Spring! Instead of the line being a part of the Go International collection, Target is lauching a new initiative called Designer Collaborations (sounds a lot like Go Internatioal to me). Though lots of times I am disapointed with the quality, I am really hoping this collection is better.

The looks below have gotten me pretty excited. I am especially eyeing the black jumpsuit and one-shoulder dress!

Secrets

One of my favorite fashion blog posts ever was on fashionista.com. They asked readers to post their fashion-related secrets. I have included my favorites below.

What are your fashion secrets. Do share!

http://fashionista.com/2008/12/whats_your_secret.php

~I tell everyone I want to lose weight to be healthier and fit, but it's really just so I can look better in designer clothes.

~I've thought about it, and i would definately committ many crimes and felonies just so i could own a balenciaga city bag, or a large chanel 2.55.

~One of my aspirations is to have an affair with a rich older man, just so he will buy me expensive clothes, shoes, and accessories.

~I am jealous of Lauren Conrad....but mostly because I think that I could do everything that she does way better.

~I secretly wish the recession goes on for years. the deals I get from designer clothes to shoes to home decor is giving me orgasm.

~I would buy clothes at Wal-Mart for the rest of my life if I could have all of the designer accessories and jewelery I crave.

~I'm a guy, and sometimes when i'm home alone, ill put on a robe, pretend its a massive fur and wear my moms birkin and walk around the house and pretend i'm some park ave bitch.

~I thought Naomi showing up for community service in thousand dollar Louboutins was so hot

~Smoking and adderall keep me thin and rapped in rick owens.

~I practice the editorial collar bone with my friends and secretly wish I was as thin as the African children on the commercials...except on a bigger budget than $1 a day

~I work at a top fashion publication and often believe that i'm surrounded by idiots. i tell myself everyday that i need to go back to graduate school or i will slowly turn into them...

~I never tell anyone (even friends) the name/location of the thrift stores I go to. I panic just thinking about them getting a bargain that was supposed to be mine!

~In my room, I blast my runway music on, and I do the runway walk.

~I'm overweight, and tell people I'm trying to lose weight but would rather have pastries than Prada

~I used to listen to Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall every morning so I could pretend to be the "clackers" in the beginning of The Devil Wears Prada

~I secretly want to be Rachel Zoe, minus the co-dependent, metro husband.

~I tell everyone all my Chanel jewelry is real...It isn't!

LRSS

I was thinking about today how I really haven't done what I originally planned to do with this blog. Which was take pictures of stylish people in Little Rock (hence the name of the blog). I guess I am a little afraid that people will be freaked out that I want to take their picture just cause I like their outfit.

Any advice would be great.

Here are the websites that I look to for inspiration.

Found this picture online today at The Sartorialist. I love it. The pants, the shoes, the scarf, the hat. Perfection!

Tight Rolled?

Really? Eva looks cute and all but....tight rolling?

Kim

Kim Kardashian wearing the Givenchy cage boots that I would kill for...

I love her necklace too. She has been dressing much better lately.

I have been pretty shoe obsessed here lately. Which is ironic because all I have been wearing is my Converse Chucks for the past several weeks. I think I am just getting ready for warmer weather, so I can break out the more adventurous footwear.

Here are a few I hope to own for the spring.

Top Row: black strappy - Gojane.com, Lime Green Wedge - Bakers, Silver cutouts - Gojane.com
Middle: Hot pink cutouts - Jeffery Campbell
Bottom Row: Leopard - Gojane.com, White studded - gojane.com, black - Steve Madden

Elizabeth and James

Forever 21 is pretty notorious for copying designers...this time not so literally. I like their interpretation.

Colored Tights

These aren't new by any means. Colored tights have been around for a few seasons. So, I know this is not breaking news or anything.
But I was thinking now is a better time than ever to try this look out. My basic black tights are getting pretty boring...

Cage Heels

I have been seeing these YSL cage booties on several blogs here lately. They are incredible in my opinion.
Also floating around on the web are these Givenchy booties. So, I looked to my favorite cheapie shoe website, gojane.com, and to my amazement they have an exact replica of the Givenchy shoe. While I am not real big on cheaper brands making exact knock-offs, I can't hate. After all we are going through a recession, and its not like I could ever afford the real thing. I will hopefully be ordering these very soon...

Topshop

Surely by now you have heard of Topshop... Its huge in the UK. Kate Moss has even has her own line there. They carry the latest trends, with prices a little bit more expensive than Forever 21. But, slightly better quality. You can order online from them, (which I am yet to do) but shipping is pretty expensive since they are located in the UK. Topshop is finally opening their first flagship store outside of the United Kingdom that will be located on Broadway in New York. The New York store will be the brand's second largest store after the company's flagship store in London, roughly 60,000 sq. ft. For sure going there if I ever get back to NYC!! Here is a few items I would love to have from their fall collection.
